On 19 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Richard Polidano under rule 83 (2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Richard Polidano, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Wise Minerva’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race one at Bathurst on 28 March 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was phenytoin.
Following Mr Polidano’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1000.
