Decision - Mark Swift

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 23 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Mark Swift under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Mark Swift, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Chocolate Fever’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race three at Bathurst on 14 March 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Swift’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 14 weeks.
