On 6 October 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Daniel Brewer under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Daniel Brewer, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘One With’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race one at Richmond on 20 April 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was cobalt.
Following Mr Brewer’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of disqualification of 15 weeks.
