Decision - Paul Shepherd

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 28 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Paul Shepherd under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Paul Shepherd, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Frissy Lizzie’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race five at Kempsey on 25 June 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was pholcodine.

Following Mr Shepherd’s early guilty plea to the charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1000.
