Decision - Glen Northfield

By Greyhound Racing NSW

On 28 September 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Mr Glen Northfield under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:

That you, Glen Northfield, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Bralyn Ice’, presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race nine at Lismore on 12 April 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.

The prohibited substance was cobalt.

Following Mr Northfield’s early guilty plea to the charge and the consideration of mitigating factors, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a period of suspension of 24 weeks.

Mr Northfield has been notified of his rights of appeal.
