NSW Stars Ready To Fire For Topgun

Ritza Lenny, Knight Sprite and Brad Hill Billy head the NSW hopefuls for next month’s Group 1 Topgun (525m).

The trio, together with fellow Group race winners and NSW representatives Black Bear Lee and Let It Develop, winner of last week’s Group 1 Dapto Megastar, are also among the list of invitees for the $150,000-to-the-winner list.

 

Victorian star Zambora Brockie,a winner of 25 of his 41 starts and more than $350,000 prize money, heads the list of nominations for the Sprinters title.

Recent Group winners Aston Bolero, Invictus Rapid, Buck Forty, Pantera Nera and Dundee Osprey are also among the 31-strong initial list for the Topgun, which takes place on Saturday, October 22 at The Meadows.

Exciting NSW newcomer Mr. Shire is among the list of nominations for the Topgun Stayers (725m), which takes place at The Meadows on the same night.

A winner of 12 of his 21 starts so far, the Bob McColm-trained greyhound has set three 600m track records at Unibet Gardens in recent months and scored his first Wentworth Park win on September 17.

Fellow NSW contenders Cardiology, More in Store  and Whittaker are also among the list of 23 invitees for the $75,000-to-the-winner race.

The star Gerry O’Keeffe-trained duo Bells Are Ringin' and Ring the Bell,  together with last Saturday night’s brilliant Group 3 Top Cat Video Stayers Cup winner Burn One Down, headline the list.

 

The final fields for both races will be confirmed next month.
