By Greyhound Racing New South Wales

On 6 July 2016 GRNSW Stewards conducted an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the greyhound 'Roman Zesta' being placed in race 9, the Beechwood Hotel Stakes, a 5th grade event over 384m, at the meeting held at the Hastings River Greyhound Racing Club on 11 June 2016.

Following the inquiry, Hastings River Greyhound Racing Club President Rex Nairn has pleaded guilty to a breach of GAR 104 (3) (b).

Following Mr Nairn's guilty plea, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a fine of $1000 on the Hastings River Greyhound Racing Club. A copy of the decision of GRNSW can be found here.
