On 29 July 2015, Greyhound Racing NSW charged registered trainer MAJELLA Ferguson under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, registered trainer MAJELLA Ferguson, while in charge of the greyhound 'Electro Storm' at Wentworth Park on 28 September 2013, did present the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race one, the www.greyhoundproducts.com.au Stakes, a fifth grade event over 520m, in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was boldenone and its metabolites androsta-1, 4-diene-3 and 17-dione.
Following the participant's guilty plea and submissions, GRNSW Stewards have determined to imposed a disqualification period of three months on the participant. A copy of the decision of GRNSW can be found here.
The participant has been notified of her rights of appeal.
