Richmond and Grafton To Hold Non-TAB Meetings

By Greyhounds Racing NSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) would like to advise participants that Richmond and Grafton will be holding Non-TAB Category D race meetings on Saturday 30 July 2016.

This decision has been made following the suspension of racing at Non-TAB tracks until further notice pending a review by GRNSW of track safety, integrity and animal welfare coverage in the sector.

Nominations for the Richmond Non-TAB race meeting will close at 9.15am on Tuesday 26 July 2016, allowing trainers and owners to roll over their nominations from the regular Richmond TAB B race meeting which closes for nominations at 9am the same day.

In addition, nominations for the Grafton Non-TAB race meeting will close at 9.15am on Wednesday 27 July 2016, also allowing for nominations to be rolled over from the regular Grafton TAB meeting.

Grading for the Non-TAB meetings will be conducted differently to standard race meetings, with a priority given to Maiden and low point scoring 5th grade greyhounds. Up to two Maiden events will be drawn over multiple distances, followed by graded races drawn from the bottom up (based on point score on the Order of Choice).

In addition, nomination preferences will not apply for these Non-TAB meetings, with point score being the determining factor for drawing greyhounds into race events.

Please note that no performance trials will be run at the meetings on 30 July 2016, and prizemoney will be allocated at the minimum Category D level.

If participants have any questions about nominating their greyhounds or the grading of these race meetings, please contact the GRNSW Grading department on 1300 664 565 between Monday to Friday from 10am - 2pm, or by submitting a grading enquiry here.
