Krystals The One Ready To Shine At Bulli

By Stuart Turner

Krystals The One scored a hard-fought victory at Bulli last start and looks like she can repeat the dose tonight when she jumps from box one in the Ladbrokes.com.au Maiden Final (400m, race three) at the Illawarra track.

The Steven Sing-trained greyhound finished second on debut at Kempsey last month before leading the field home from box two in 22.63 a week ago over the 400m at Bulli.

With the advantage of an inside draw this week, Sing believes his greyhound is the one to beat.

“Without getting over-confident, if she puts her best foot forward then I think she can win,” Sing said.

“She’s very competitive and tenacious when she gets in a race. I think she can improve time-wise and if she runs 22.50, that should be good enough for this.

“I think the biggest danger is Spring Creek Wil in box two getting on her back and going behind her, but if she starts well she should be okay.

“She’s unfortunately had a few niggling injuries but she pulled up well from last week and is looking good.”

Krystals The One looks a potentially exciting talent for hobby trainer Sing, an overhead power lines worker who is based at Kogarah in south Sydney.

In other Bulli action tonight, exciting newcomer Rockstar Max (box six) looks the top pick in the Ladbrokes Monthly Medal 0-1 Wins (472m, race four).

The well bred son of Barcia Bale and Glory Of Love won on debut at Bulli last month from box one over the 472m in a sound 26.63.

Cosmic Feature won from box eight last week at Bulli and can repeat from the same draw in the Ladbrokes Bet Better Sprint Final (race seven, 400m).

Meanwhile, Takedown can take advantage of box one in race eight – a 4/5th grade event over the 472m.

A member of the gun western Sydney Mark Gatt kennel, Takedown won over the 400m at Bulli two starts back and has won two of his three previous visits to Bulli.
