On 23 July 2015 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Charged trainer Mr Gavin Lowe under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, licenced trainer Mr Gavin Lowe, did present the greyhound ‘Pure White Cloud’ (Greyhound) at Grafton on 28 July 2014 for the purposes of competing in Race 5, the Clarence Valley Shed Stake, 610 metres, other than free of any prohibited substances, in that the urine sample taken from the greyhound after the race was found, upon confirmatory analysis, to have contained the prohibited substances dehydronorketamine and oxazepam (Charge).
Following Mr Lowe’s early guilty plea to the Charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a penalty of 20 weeks disqualification. A copy of the decision of GRNSW can be found here.
Mr Lowe has been notified of his rights of appeal.
