On 31 March 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Charged Mr Keith Waddington under rule 83(2) as follows:
That you, Keith Waddington, a public trainer, while in Charge of the greyhound ‘Big Mistake’ at Richmond on 25 November 2015, presented the Greyhound for the purpose of competing in Race 7 (Race) in circumstances where the Greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance (Charge).
The prohibited substances were morphine, codeine and norcodeine.
Following Mr Waddington’s early guilty plea to the Charge, GRNSW Stewards have determined to impose a penalty of a $500 fine. A copy of the decision of GRNSW can be found here.
Mr Waddington has been notified of his rights of appeal.
