All A Blaze Among Hot Ladies Bracelet Contenders

By Stuart Turner

Dubbo Gold Cup winner All A Blaze headlines the fields for the Heats of the Group 3 Evans And Son Jewellers Ladies Bracelet (520m) at Wentworth Park on tonight.

All A Blaze will jump from box two in the third Heat of the Ladies Bracelet – which is only open to female greyhounds - following her impressive win in the Dubbo Gold Cup on Sunday night.

The win was the biggest of All A Blaze’s 13-start career and her trainer Pamela Braddon, who is based in the Central West town of Cowra.

All A Blaze has had two starts at Wentworth Park for one win in 30.07, and looks well drawn for Saturday’s Heat having recorded one victory and three placings in three previous starts from box two.

She will line up in her against Good Odds Angel (box seven), who has scored five previous wins at Wentworth Park and returned to form with a win over the 400m at Richmond last Saturday night.

Also competing in the Ladies Bracelet Heats is unbeaten greyhound Megsie Marble.

Megsie Marble, who went just .04 outside the track record on her way to winning the Group 3  Nowra Summer Puppy Classic earlier this month, jumps from box two in the fourth and final Heat.

The Merv Buckley-trained greyhound has won all four of her career starts so far, with three wins at Nowra and a debut triumph at Dapto to her name.

Megsie Marble is joined in her Heat by Golden Easter Egg finalist and Group 2 Richmond Oaks winner Mitcharlie Mia (pictured, box six) and recent Group 2 Queensland Futurity finalist Dokmai (box four).

Heat one of the Ladies Bracelet, meanwhile, features Billysoar (box eight), who has placed in her last two starts  - both at Wentworth Park – and has won twice and placed twice in six previous starts wearing the pink rug.

Zipping Lilly, one of five winners for Jason Mackay at Wentworth Park last Saturday night, jumps from box seven in the second Heat.

That Heat also includes Pippa Pepper (box five), who ran a storming 29.79 at Wentworth Park on April 20, and the classy Fantastic Skye in box one.

Star Torana (box six), who has won three of her last four and won in 29.81 in a high-quality race at Wentworth Park earlier this month, also looks dangerous.

The top two placegetters from each Heat will qualify for the Group 3 Ladies Bracelet at Wentworth Park on Saturday, May 7.
