Alex Anderson believes his impressive last start winner Sketchy Fanta can repeat that winning form in the feature race at tonight's Bulli meeting.
Sketchy Fanta jumps from box one in the Ladbrokes Bet Better Sprint Final (400m, race five) a week after her smart 22.55 win in a heat of the series.
The win was a return to form for Sketchy Fanta following three disappointing runs and Anderson, who owns and trains the greyhound at his South Coast base in Windellama, is of the view she can win again on Friday.
“This distance is starting to be her limit but she can still run times on her day,” Anderson said.
“She trialled a lot at Goulburn and I think she likes these big, wide tracks that give a bit of space.
“She’s better from the middle boxes. If she doesn’t come out well then she finds it difficult to get through the field, so a lot will depend on the start.
“She can start well, though, and this draw gives her every chance.”
Standing in Sketchy Fanta’s way of another victory is For The Girls (box four) who has won has two of her last three – all at Bulli – and has won once and placed twice in three previous starts wearing the blue rug.
Native Son (box two) and Enrage in box eight are also both racing well and have claims.
In other Bulli Friday action, the Jason Fletcher trained-duo Fantastic Blake and Fantastic Hulk look the top pick in races three and four.
Little Bit Sweet maintained his impressive record with another victory over the 450m at Maitland and can score another win in race six (472m).
Little Bit Sweet has won nine of 12 starts so far, just missing the track record at Maitland last week, and has won two of his four previous visits to Bulli.
Bear Inda Square (box five) was eighth last week at Bulli but can bounce back with a win in race 10 (400m).
The Darren Sultana-trained greyhound won smartly over the 400m at Richmond last month and has also placed at Bulli over the 400m.
