Greyhound Racing NSW has finalised the TAB race dates for the 2016/17 racing season.
The TAB race dates have been confirmed after consultation with industry stakeholders on a draft schedule which was released by GRNSW in late February.
The most significant change in the final TAB race dates schedule is the introduction of 13 TAB meetings for both the Mid-North Coast and New England regions.
The 13 TAB meetings on the Mid-North Coast will be held on Sunday day while the 13 allocated to the New England region will take place on a Sunday twilight slot.
GRNSW has begun an expression of interest process to determine which clubs will stage the TAB meetings in both the Mid-North Coast and New England regions.
In addition, GRNSW has also begun an Expression of Interest process to determine which club stages the 26 TAB meetings scheduled in the Riverina following concerns with the Wagga club’s non-compliance with a number of governance and racing standards in recent months. The deadline for Expressions of Interest for each region closes on 15 April.
The other major change in the final TAB race dates schedule is moving Richmond from Saturday night to Friday night and Bulli from Friday night to Saturday night.
