Results Received For Dalgetty Sample

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) would like to advise that the out of competition test conducted on the greyhound Dalgetty did not find any presence of the prohibited substance amphetamine.

Dalgetty's trainer Jason Thompson requested GRNSW conduct the test after he became aware that the greyhound Proven Kodiak - trained by licensed participant Mark Azzopardi - had returned a positive swab to the prohibited substance amphetamine following a race at Shepparton.

Dalgetty, who is scheduled to compete in a heat of the Golden Easter Egg on Saturday (12 March 2016) had been based at Mr Azzopardi's Appin kennels prior to the positive swab notification and Mr Thompson expressed concerns that his greyhound may have been exposed to the prohibited substance while located at the kennels.

The analysis of Dalgetty's sample was undertaken by the Australian Racing Forensics Laboratory.

Given the results of the test, Dalgetty is free to compete in the heats of the Golden Easter Egg on Saturday.
