On 14 September 2015, Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) announced that it had commenced an inquiry into the presence of caffeine, theophylline, paraxanthine and theobromine in the sample taken from Dear Darcey after it won race 1 at Wentworth Park on 23 May 2015.
Dear Darcey's trainer John Ayoub has been directed to attend a hearing as part of the inquiry. The details of that hearing are:
