Alderley Reform Looking Strong At Angle Park

By Stuart Turner

A favourable draw could help Alderley Reform score an upset victory at Angle Park on Thursday night.

The in-form greyhound has scored back-to-back victories this month and jumps from box one in a high-quality Bargain Steel Centre Free For All (515m, race eight).

He scored a super 29.83 win from box two in a Free For All two starts back, before moving to box one last week and securing a 29.92 victory in a fifth grade race.

Alderley Reform faces a sound field including Mrs Bubbles (box five) and Are Ate in box seven, but with a terrific record of nine wins from 15 starts wearing the red rug, he looks tough to beat.

“This box is a real boost for him,” Alderley Reform’s trainer Terry Cahalan said.

“He runs the rail and you know he will come home strong. He’s done very well on his last two starts and that inside box will help him.

“He’ll still have to run at his best to stand a chance against these (and) Mrs Bubbles is a brilliant greyhound, but he can certainly figure.”

Alderley Reform can lack pace early but he usually finishes strong and if he can stick with them early from this draw he is in with a winning chance.

His toughest opposition comes in the form of Mrs Bubbles who has won three of her last four starts and scored a sound 29.73 victory from box five three starts back.

Are Ate, meanwhile, has scored four consecutive victories and seven wins from 19 starts from box seven, but is moving up in grade in this race.

In other Angle Park Thursday action, CASH In Looper (box one) looks the top pick in race five (515m).

The Troy Murray-trained greyhound has been inconsistent recently but won at Angle Park on February 4 on his return from almost a month out.

Kennelmate Worm Burner was also back in good form winning at Angle Park on February 3 and can score a win in race seven (515m).

A class performer with a sizzling track best of 29.40, Worm Burner has a super record of four wins from six previous starts with the pink rug.

Crisis Bale can help complete the quaddie with success in race six over the 515m.

Lisa Rasmussen’s greyhound (box three) is in good form, having won  in a decent 29.86 at Angle Park on his last start, and has won four of his seven previous starts wearing the white rug.

In-form pair Embellish and BRADLEY BALE both have box four in races three and nine respectively and look decent chances.

The Michele Famiglietti-trained Embellish has scored three wins from four previous starts with the blue rug.

BRADLEY BALE is also in good form and should benefit from vacant boxes either side of him to win again.
