Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of synephrine in the sample taken from Nipper Zarr after it won race 9 at the Dubbo meeting on 5 November 2015.
The reserve portion of the sample was sent to Racing Analytical Services (VIC) and has yet to be confirmed to contain the prohibited substance. Nipper Zarr's trainer John Horan has been advised of the irregularity.
As the prohibited substance detected is a Category 4 substance the matter will be dealt with by way of Stewards Inquiry.
