GRNSW Announces Ima Tomahawk Inquiry

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of caffeine, theophylline, paraxanthine & theobromine in the sample taken from Ima Tomahawk after it won race 2 at the Wagga meeting on 20 November 2015.
 
The reserve portion of the sample was sent to Racing Analytical Services (VIC) and has yet to be confirmed to contain the prohibited substance. Ima Tomahawk's trainer Darren Petersen has been advised of the irregularity.

As the prohibited substance detected is a Category 4 substance under the GRNSW’s penalty guidelines the matter will be dealt with having regard to the protocols established under the guidelines.
