GRNSW Conducts Out Of Competition Tests

By GRNSW

Stewards from Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) and Greyhound Racing Victoria have this week conducted out of competition testing of greyhounds competing in the Group 1 Ladbrokes Paws Of Thunder and the Group 2 Summer Distance Plate, which will be staged at Wentworth Park this weekend.

The purpose in obtaining the samples was to test for the presence of permanently banned prohibited substances.

The out of competition testing forms an integral component of GRNSW’s ongoing prohibited substance detection strategy, confirming its stance against illicit substance use.

Out of competition testing is conducted under the provisions of National Rule R79A which provides specifically for out of competition sampling.
