Joint Working Group Forums

By GRNSW

Stakeholders are reminded about the Joint Working Group (JWG) forums taking place this week.

To date, two forums have taken place at Wauchope and Tamworth, with both being well attended.

Greyhound Racing NSW General Manager, Industry Reform Wayne Billett, who is convening the forums, said he has been encouraged by the views put forward by those in attendance at the forums, with many positive initiatives being raised that will be considered by the JWG.

The two remaining forums will take place at the following dates/locations:

- Wednesday 6 January 2016: Coonabarabran
- Thursday 7 January 2016: Cowra

Times for all forums are 7pm – 9.30pm and will be held at the town's respective greyhound tracks.

Stakeholders who attend the forums will be given the opportunity to voice their views and ask questions about the JWG’s recently released draft report.

Information garnered from these forums as well as the written submissions received will be provided to the JWG to assist in the preparation of the final report which is to be presented to the GRNSW Chief Executive by 29 January 2016.

The JWG’s draft report provides options and recommended actions to drive reform of the NSW greyhound racing industry.
