On 10 December 2015, Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advised that it had received confirmation of the presence of the prohibited substance salbutamol in a sample taken from the greyhound Almost Normal after it won race 9 at Richmond on 3 October 2015.
GRNSW also advised that Almost Normal's trainer Beverley Mahoney had been given the opportunity to enter a plea of guilty to a charge of presenting a greyhound other than free of a prohibited substance in breach of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules.
Ms Mahoney informed GRNSW that she has decided to enter a plea of guilty to the charge.
As a result, GRNSW Stewards have accepted Ms Mahoney's plea to a charge of presenting Almost Normal other than free of a prohibited substance. GRNSW Stewards have determined that the following penalty should be imposed:
• $1000 fine.

Ms Mahoney has been notified of her rights of appeal.
