Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that the Racing Appeals Tribunal has announced its decision on the appeal by trainer Robert Groizard Jr against a penalty imposed by GRNSW stewards for a breach of Gar 83 (2) (a).
Mr Groizard Jr appealed against the finding of guilt and the penalty of the 15 week disqualification on him after he presented Miss Diddle to compete in race 1, the Duncan Dart Memorial Heat 1, at The Gardens meeting on 17 October 2014 other than free of any prohibited substance in that the urine sample taken from the greyhound after the race was found on confirmatory analysis to contain ketoprofen.
The tribunal dismissed the appeal on the finding of guilt. The appeal on penalty was upheld and Mr Groizard Jr's penalty was amended to 11 weeks disqualification.
