GRNSW Announces Stewards' Inquiry

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of 6-hydroxystonozolol in the sample taken from Shesa Felon after it won the Red Bucks Str8 Outta Bangor Hear at the Wentworth Park meeting on 3 October 2015.

The reserve portion of the sample was sent to Racing Analytical Services (VIC) and has yet to be confirmed to contain the prohibited substance. Shesa Felon’s trainer Caroline Hughes has been advised of the irregularity.

As the prohibited substance detected is a Category 3 substance under the GRNSW’s penalty guidelines the matter will be dealt with by way of an Inquiry before GRNSW Stewards.

A date for the Inquiry has yet to be set.
