Coleman Looking For Another Win

By Jeff Collerson

Up and coming trainer Kayla-Jane COLEMAN will be looking to cap off a memorable couple of days with a win with Where Art Thou at Wentworth Park tonight.

COLEMAN scored arguably one of the biggest wins of her training career on the weekend when Cardiology took out the Globe Memorial Maiden Final at Richmond.

She will now be aiming for her second feature race in just a matter of days when Where Art Thou lines up in the Wentworth Park Maiden Series.

Where Art Thou bungled the start but still won her heat in 30.02 and is well drawn in box two for tonight's final.

"I am happy with the draw although if Where Art Thou comes out as badly in the final as she did in her heat it wouldn't matter what box she had," COLEMAN said.

"Hopefully she can jump well and make better use of her good draw.

"After last Wednesday we had a couple of very hot days but they didn't affect Where Art Thou and she has recovered well. My partner Shaun Evans' dog Tronald Trump has box three but while he is a railer he usually runs straight from the boxes to the first corner so should not hamper Where Art Thou."

Lining up against Where Art Thou this evening will be In The Moonlight, who qualified with a 30.07 win last week.

In The Moonlight has drawn awkwardly in box eight though and will need plenty of luck to feature tonight.

In other action tonight, Miss Reliance is tipped to prove that her 29.98 win at Wentworth Park last weekend was no fluke by taking out tonight's The Hammer Cup.

Miss Reliance had box six on Saturday and has drawn the extreme outside this week.

"If she repeats what she did on Saturday she should win again," trainer Gary Stewart said.

Miss Reliance's toughest rival could be Makenton Jag, who has had a win and four placings from nine Wentworth Park starts.

But while Makenton Jag is as fast as any of her opponents, trainer Chris Carl is concerned about how she will handle box one.

"In 35 starts Makenton Jag has never drawn boxes one or two but when she had box three she wanted to take a few steps to the right when the lids lifted," Carl said.

"I don't really know what she will do from box one but from what I've seen of her I think she needs an outside draw."

Bush greyhound Cosmic Prince turns four in December but trainer Craig Price expects the dog to run a big race in Wednesday's free for all - the ladbrokes.com.au Stakes.

Cosmic Prince, trained at Wagga Wagga, has won two of his five Wentworth Park starts and landed his 23rd win when he scored in fast time over 400m at his local track last Friday.

"With age Cosmic Prince has lost some of his speed from the boxes but he is nicely drawn in box three and might get a nice trail behind the two greyhounds drawn inside him," Price said.

"I was pleasantly surprised by how fast he went over 400m at Wagga at his latest run."

Cosmic Prince appeals as the value bet of the night with the stand out wager being Myrniong Star, ideally positioned in box one in the www.whiteribbon.org.au Stakes.

Myrniong Star led throughout in a fast 29.92 from box two at Wentworth Park last Saturday and only rises marginally in class this week.
