Donald Tux Looking A Smart Chance

By Stuart Turner

Impressive newcomer Donald Tux looks a decent chance to score yet another victory at Saturday night’s Mandurah meeting.

Donald Tux jumps from box one in the NPB Security Stakes (race 12, 405m) fresh from a highly impressive debut win last week.

Jumping well from box eight, Donald Tux showed good mid-race pace to rocket home in a solid 22.93.

He looks capable of improving on that time tomorrow night and with the prized inside draw must be considered.

Podge (box two) has had an injury-hampered career so far but should be freshened up by a decent placing run last week, so could challenge.

Marvelous Marvin ran well to place in last Wednesday’s Group 3 Young Stars Classic final at this track and looks the pick in race five.

The impressive son of Collision and Amanda (box six) has scored nine wins and three placings from 18 starts so far and won his only previous start from this draw.

Fun Boss (box two) and former NSW star Winsome Mission (box five) both look dangers, but on current form Marvelous Marvin is the one to back.

Expect A Guess returned to form  last week with a good victory over the 490m and looks a decent chance in race nine (647m).

The win was the veteran daughter of Turanza Bale and Expect More’s first in 15 starts but she has always been a handy performer, with 15 victories and 21 minor placings in 58 races.

He recent record over 647m is not promising but she is super from the inside draw and can beat this field.

Stangafied and Bee Flash are quality performers and both look ideally drawn wearing the red rug to claim races three and eight respectively.

Mulwee Grand is in terrific form and can salute again in the night’s race 13.

The son of El Grand Senor and I’m All Show (box seven) has won two of his last three outings, including a terrific 22.40 effort from box six three starts back.

He looks the latest handy newcomer from the gun Christine Robartson kennel and this draw should not stop him saluting again.
