On 14 August 2015, Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) notified industry participants, David Harkin and Merle Clarke that it has commenced an inquiry into alleged offences under the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules (Rules).
The inquiry has been allocated numbers 15SO59 and 15SO60 of 2015.
GRNSW has determined that industry participants, David Harkin and Merle Clarke should answer charges for breaches of the Rules. The charges allege offences under Rules 86B and 86C of the Rules after two live European rabbits were found during an unannounced inspection conducted by GRNSW compliance officers in June 2015.
Pending the determination of the charges, Ms Clarke and Mr Harkin will remain suspended.
Ms Clarke and Mr Harkin have been directed to attend a hearing to answer the charges.
