Vale Tony Nahabedian

Greyhound racing has been rocked by the sudden death of Tony Nahabedian, who, via his company AAA Radiator Specialists, has been among the sport's longest serving and most generous sponsors.

Nahabedian, aged just 63, suffered a heart attack on Friday.

"He had never had any heart problems and was not under stress at work, in fact over the past couple of weeks I've never seen him so happy," son Andre said.

"But I am proud of the legacy my father left and the fact that he had so many loyal friends, in business and in greyhound racing and rugby league."

AAA Radiator Specialists was also for many years a sleeve sponsor of the Manly Sea Eagles NRL team.

His funeral will be on Wednesday, October 21 at the Armenian Apostolic Church in Macquarie Street, Chatswood.

It starts at 2pm.
