Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of Oxazepam in the sample taken from Magic Earner after it won the AAA Radiator Specialists Stakes at the Wentworth Park meeting on 29 July 2015.
The reserve portion of the sample was sent to Racing Analytical Services (VIC). Magic Earner's trainer Jodie Lord has been advised of the irregularity.
As the prohibited substance detected is a Category 5 substance under the GRNSW’s penalty guidelines, the matter will be dealt with having regard to the protocols established under the guidelines.
GRNSW will provide further details once Ms Lord has had an opportunity to make submissions regarding the irregularity of the sample.
