Greyhound Racing, Embracing Change

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has today launched the new campaign ‘Greyhound Racing, Embracing Change’ to showcase the positive reform that the industry is currently embarking on.

The ‘Greyhound Racing, Embracing Change’ campaign profiles a number of ambassadors for greyhound racing in NSW, detailing their deep passion for greyhound racing as well as the devotion that they show for their greyhounds.

The campaign also draws attention to the substantial reform underway in the industry and the significant social and economic contribution greyhound racing makes to NSW.

The campaign has its own website – www.embracingchange.com.au – and will be supported through advertising on television, newspaper and online.

We encourage you to visit embracingchange.com.au and promote the campaign to ensure the community at large benefits from a greater understanding of the sport and we can showcase a handful of ambassadors for the industry.

GRNSW interim Chief Executive Paul Newson said the campaign will help to focus on the positives of the NSW greyhound racing industry and its participants, while also highlighting the significant steps GRNSW has taken to address past failings.

“This campaign showcases brilliantly the changes underway in the industry that are necessary to safeguard the future of the sport,” Mr Newson said.

“Since February, GRNSW has demonstrated its commitment to change by restructuring the organisation and prioritising welfare and integrity functions as the centre of everything we do.

“Whilst acknowledging that there are significant challenges ahead for the industry to regain public confidence, it is fantastic to be able to share to the public some of the many positive stories of greyhound industry participants in NSW,” Mr Newson said.
