GRNSW Announces Create Havoc Inquiry

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of Oxazepam in the sample taken from Create Havoc after it won the Betfair Blue Paws Easter Maiden Final at the Grafton meeting on 6 April 2015.

The reserve portion of the sample was sent to Racing Analytical Services (VIC) and has been confirmed to contain the prohibited substance. Create Havoc's trainer Peter Simpson has been advised of the irregularity.

As the prohibited substance detected is a Category 5 substance under the GRNSW’s penalty guidelines the matter will be dealt with having regard to the protocols established under the guidelines.

GRNSW will provide further details once Mr Simpson has had an opportunity to make submissions regarding the irregularity of the sample.
