To A Tee Looking Good To Salute

By Jeff Collerson

A drop in class from top to fifth grade should put To A Tee back in the winner's circle at Wentworth Park tonight.

The Harry Sarkis-trained dog has drawn the prized rails box in the 520m $10 Winter Warmers Online Stakes (race five) and is poised to score his fifth Wentworth Park win.

To A Tee has not started for almost a month but is fit and ready to win according to his trainer.

"He had developed a couple of niggling injuries so I thought it best to give him a complete break for a couple of weeks,'' Sarkis said.

"But To A Tee is going as well as ever again and is right back to his best.''

To A Tee has clocked 29.79 at Wentworth Park, much quicker than any of his rivals in Wednesday night's fifth grade event.

Robert Hatton, who builds concrete tanks for a living and trains greyhounds as a hobby, has a great chance of landing his first Wentworth-park">Wentworth">Wentworth Park winner with Mann She's Fast.

She has box two in Wednesday's Wentworthpark.com.au Stakes (race one).

"I have only had three starters at Wentworth Park,'' Hatton said.

"My first runner finished fourth, then Mann She's Fast ran third on July 4 before she finished second last Wednesday night.

"So I'm getting a bit closer to a win and I just hope it happens this week.

"Mann She's Fast likes to get a bit of room to move early so maybe an outside draw would have been better but box two is not too bad.

"My son Glenn, who owns a coffee shop at Neutral Bay, bought Mann She's Fast as a puppy and flew her over from Western Australia.

"Glenn is the breeding buff in the family.''

Mann She's Fast ran the best race of her career when second to Camden Valleyway at Wentworth Park last Wednesday.

Another greyhound having his first Wentworth Park start for new connections is Topper Road, who has box two in Uno Suzie's race.

Topper Road won four races at Wentworth Park when trained by Anthony Azzopardi and since being bought by Caroline Hughes has had one start for a fifth at Dapto on July 16.

"He bungled the start at Dapto," Hughes said. "He just seemed over-excited.

"But I am happy with the way he has been trialling and he is jumping out of his skin for Wednesday night.''

Best boxed runner on Wednesday is arguably Tanks Punk, who has box one in the Rapidvite Stakes (race 11).

Tanks Punk had box five in his Wentworth Park debut last Wednesday but lost all chance when he veered sharply to the left at box rise and collided heavily.

The dog had won three of his previous four races at Richmond and should get an ideal run to the first turn on Wednesday night.
