It's Classified Looking A Hot Prospect

By Stuart Turner

Flying pair It’s Classified and Yiche are at different points of their racing careers but both look strong winning chances at Thursday’s Angle Park meeting.

It’s Classified jumps from box six in the Champion Puppy Final (515m, race eight) aiming to underline his reputation as one of the country’s hottest pups.

Meanwhile, Yiche goes for an eighth win in nine starts when she jumps from box five in the grsa.com.au Veterans Stakes (515m, race three).

Trainer Angela Modra said her greyhound, who has 33 wins and 33 minor placings from 95 starts, could enjoy another success here.

“Boxes don't matter with her,” Modra said. “Wherever she starts from, she just runs dead straight.

“She might go hard on the rail on the first turn and then go to the centre.

“She’s just a good, honest greyhound who still loves to run. Even here at home, she loves to play around with a sock and jump around.

“If she was not loving what she was doing then I wouldn’t race her – I would rather retire her than her be unhappy.

"But while she is loving it, I’m loving it.”

Meanwhile, the Troy Murray-trained It’s Classified looks the standout in the $6000-to-the-winner final.

The son of Velocette and Abbadelle Elle has three of his first four starts, clocking a scorching 29.53 two starts back.

He ran 29.71 last week and even with this tricky draw should have the pace to win here.

Another of Murray’s greyhounds, Mcray, can make it four wins in a row in race seven.

The son of Knocka Norris and Kalden Geisha has a poor previous record from box five but should have enough pace to cross the rest here.

Veteran Young Gun McBain has won his last two against quality opposition and can make it a hat-trick in race six.

Vadim Roz’s greyhound (box four) is in sub-30 second form and should benefit from the vacant box outside him to get a clear run to the lead.

Footluce Diva and My Excuse both look good chances in races one and two respectively.
