Participants are reminded that nominations for this year’s Group 1 Agra National Sprint and Distance Championships close tomorrow.

Entries for this year’s titles, which culminate with a star-studded finals night at Wentworth Park next month, must be in by noon on Thursday.

The Sprint and National titles are two of the biggest races on the annual Australian greyhound racing calendar, each offering $75,000 to the winner.

The two races will feature the winners of each state’s qualifying titles, as well as other top-ranking AGRA performers and specially invited greyhounds.

Heats for the NSW titles take place on Saturday, August 8 at Wentworth Park.

The NSW finals, which carry $15,000 to the winner, take place a week later.

The overall National Sprint and Distance deciders will be held on what should be a super night’s racing at Wentworth Park on Saturday, August 22.

Last year Chica Destacada and Queen Marina won the NSW Sprint and Distance titles for trainers Doreen Drynan and Noelene Holloway respectively.

The pair represented NSW in the Group 1 Nationals in WA, with Chica Destacada beating a strong field to win the title.
