Four-In-A-Row For Jordanic?

By Jess Moran

Up and coming greyhound Jordanic will look to maintain her unbeaten record in the Goulburn GBOTA Novice Final at Goulburn on Tuesday afternoon.

Jordanic has won all three of her career starts, including a very impressive three length win at Goulburn last week over the 350m.

Despite the victory and perfect start to Jordanic's career, trainer Garry Coles is expecting an even better performance this week.

"She is doing everything right at the moment. It was her first look at the track last week so I expect her to improve a lot especially at the start," Coles said.

"She missed the kick a tad last week but was able to make up the ground quite quickly. I think she will be able to time her start a lot better now she's had the experience."

Jordanic will jump from box three on Tuesday, a draw that does not concern the laid-back Coles.

"She runs straight and holds her line so the box won't worry her," he said.

"She got hampered at the start last week but I don't expect that to happen again from there."

Coles believes Jordanic's biggest threat on Tuesday is from Trackless Tram, which will jump from box one.

"It is a very smart dog and actually beat Jordanic in a trial early on at Nowra. I expect it to be a lot more even in this race," Coles said.

While not wanting to get too carried away, Coles believes Jordanic could measure up to Wentworth Park standard if she maintains her current form.

"She will just love (Wentworth Park) with her racing style and I think she will do really well there. That won't be for another few months yet but it is something for me to look forward to," he said.

Racing starts at the Goulburn Greyhound Club at 1.37pm on Tuesday, with 10 races on the program.
