Further Changes To Forthcoming Maitland Meetings

By GRNSW

Note: This story has been updated from the original posting on Thursday morning.

The NSW GBOTA advises changes to three forthcoming scheduled meetings at Maitland.

Three meetings at Maitland, which were due to take place on Thursday, May 7, Wednesday May 13 and Thursday, May 14 have now been either transferred or will be rescheduled.

The scheduled meetings at Maitland on Thursday, May 7 and Thursday, May 14  have both been transferred to Gosford

These have been switched while repair works at the Maitland track, which was damaged by the recent terrible storms to hit NSW, take place.

Various electrical items at the track were significantly damaged by storm waters, while the racing surface was also badly hit (pictured).

Repair work on the track surface has now started under the direction of Greyhound Racing NSW.

Further repair work will take place on Tuesday, May 5, with a determination on future trial sessions and race meetings to be made at that time.

Trials remain off at the venue until further notice.

As a consequence, Gosford will race as per standard Tuesday arrangements and will race today and on Thursday, May 7 in replacement of Maitland's scheduled twilight meeting.

The advertised program for Thursday, May 7 is as follows:

Maitland Supporters Club Mother’s Day Gift 600m Non-Graded Stake (best 8 grades 1-5) $1800 / $500 / $250

Balance of program as determined by nominations received.

Nominations close on Monday, May 4 at 9am.

Gosford will resume trialling as per normal on Wednesday, May 6 and Friday May 8.

The advertised program for Thursday, May 14 is as follows:

Non Graded 400m Stk (best 8 grades 1-4): $1400/410/205

Mx 731m Stk 0-3wins: $1400/410/205

Nominations close on Monday, May 11 at 9am.
