Participants are advised that today's Maitland meeting has been abandoned.
This week's dreadful weather in the NSW Hunter Valley region, including heavy rain and storms, left the track surface unsuitable for racing (pictured).
Club staff will work over coming days to ensure the track and supporting infrastructure is returned to a safe racing condition.
Trials scheduled for this Friday, April 24 at Maitland have also been cancelled.
A decision on trials scheduled for this Monday will be made later in the week and published on the GBOTA website (GBOTA.com.au">www.GBOTA.com.au).
All races scheduled for tomorrow's meeting will not be re-organised, apart from the fifth grade 565m Ladbrokes Monthly Medal (565m). This will now be re-programmed and new nominations called for the scheduled Thursday, April 30 meeting at Maitland.
