Establish Gunning For Another Win At Goulburn

By Stuart Turner

Establish is fresh from a successful trip to the Big Smoke and looks a great chance of winning again at Goulburn today.

Michael Clayton’s newcomer jumps from box five in day’s ninth race fresh from a decent victory at Wentworth Park earlier this month.

Establish ran a solid 30.23 to defeat a handy if not spectacular field at the Sydney track  and earn his third success in eight starts.

Although he is boxed awkwardly here, he looks the standout here and should secure win number four.

Blue Cherokee is returning to Goulburn for the first time in a month and looks a good chance in race seven.

Trained by James Higgins, the newcomer has been running consistently well so far and has done well at country tracks.

Blue Cherokee ran a good 19.82 to win on his last appearance at Goulburn and looks the best here.

Mellcat Magic is another returning to Goulburn after a spell away and looks the one to back in race eight.

John Mellon’s sprinter won over the 457m at Goulburn last month before two recent runs at Bulli and Wentworth Park.

He should appreciate the drop in distance and should salute this time around.

Bobby Bant has not enjoyed the best of fortunes recently but can bounce back to winning ways in the day’s second race.

The DENIS Hogan-trained greyhound (box eight) has one win in four starts since triumphing over the 350m at Goulburn in February.

He has run well from this draw previously and should relish a return to this distance here.

Tranquil Midge has been running well since transferring to Kim Mulrine’s kennels and can take out race five.

The son of star sire Lochinvar Marlow looks to have ability, having collected two and placed three times on his eight starts so far.

He has been running very well over the 440m at Canberra recently and from box two should be too strong for the rest here.

The meeting starts slightly earlier than usual with the first of 10 races off at 2.03pm.
