Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of Tolfenamic Acid and Ketoprofen in the sample taken from Opus Forte after it won the Macro Meats Gourmet Game Sprint Series Final at the Wentworth Park meeting on 16 January 2015.
Trainer Luke Azzopardi has been advised of the irregularity, with the reserve portion of the sample forwarded to another accredited laboratory for further confirmatory analysis. Upon confirmation or otherwise the matter will proceed having regard to the protocols established under GRNSW’s penalty guideline system.
