Update On Arm Trials

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) would like to clarify the current position on arm trials.

Greyhounds Australasia (GA), of which GRNSW is a member, has publicly committed to reviewing all arm trial lure rules of greyhound racing.

New national rules have been drafted which mandate the use of artificial or synthetic lures, at any place or time in the training, education or preparation to race of any greyhound. GA expects these strengthened national rules to be in place within one week.

In addition, GRNSW's integrity unit has advised all clubs to stop staging lure/arm trials which utilise a carcass until further notice.

Many registered clubs have already volunteered to temporarily ban arm trials using a carcass.
