Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of hydrochlorothiazide in the sample taken from Free Ticket after it won the Adrian Eyre Appreciation Maiden at Broken Hill on 5 December 2014.
Trainer Rebecca McAvaney has been advised of the confirmation of the presence of the substance by the Racing Science Centre, Queensland, with the matter now proceeding having regard to the protocols established under GRNSW’s penalty guideline system.
