Winning Looks Natural At Goulburn

By Stuart Turner

Natural Player is one of the best country NSW performers around and looks ready to claim yet another victory at Tuesday’s Goulburn meeting.

Mark Wilcox’s chaser, who has a superb record at the Southern Highlands track, jumps from box three in Goulburn Blue Paws Stakes (race eight) and should add to his terrific career record here.

The sprinter has won 28 of his 45 career starts and loves visiting Goulburn, having secured nine wins there.

His latest triumph came here two weeks ago and he went round the 350m in 19.85, again underlining his quality.

He bungled the start two races back at Shepparton but after his latest win Natural Player, who won December’s Goulburn Workers Club Cup, is a strong contender here.

Kennelmate Highly Respected in box six is almost as good as Natural Player and demands respect, but seems a little below par at the moment.

Midnight Toast (box one) also looks a tempter but you cannot look beyond Wilcox’s super chaser here.

My Bella Rose has not drawn well but still looks a winning chance in the Classicbet Stakes over 350m (race five).

Another quality performer, she has a far better record from closer to the rail but should have the class to win here from box seven.

Consistent Bobby Bant (box five) has been running well recently and can see off likely next best Ninja Fusion to take out race six.

Michael Clayton has been enjoying some notable success recently and should be confident of earning another win with Cosmic Bob (race seven).

The newcomer has run two good races at Goulburn and looks the pick here from box three.

In other action at Goulburn, Jafiliya Belle looks the best bet of the day in race nine.

Danielle Matic’s chaser ran a very solid 26.14 to win over 450m last start here and should have too much for the rest here.
