Fisher Reaches For The Sky At Bulli

By Stuart Turner

Flying Titan Sky goes for another triumph while standout chaser Silent Effective aims to return to winning ways at Bulli’s Wednesday meeting.

Judith Fisher’s Titan Sky jumps from box three in the Wollongong Tourism 0-3 Wins Stakes (590m), aiming for a fourth straight victory.

The chaser produced a superb 33.59 triumph to win over the 590m at Bulli last week and is being aimed by Fisher as a city class stayer.

South Nowra trainer Fisher, who is also enjoying a strong run of current succes with the likes of Good Judge, has “high expectations” for the in-form greyhound..

“I looked at that time last week and thought, ‘is that right’,” Fisher said. “That was phenomenal.

“Her owner told me she was desperate for the 600m and that’s right. She is such a little thing but really strong.

“She is still a baby and still learning (but) I will eventually step her up to the 720m at Wentworth Park.

“I have high expectations of her and I think she’ll go a long way.”

Titan Sky made a slow start to her racing career but she has picked up form since uniting with Fisher four starts ago.

A daughter of Elite State x Sneaky Assassin, her record stands at three wins and four minor placings from a dozen starts and on current form she looks the standout here in the night's fourth race.

Fisher also said her charge Dottie Tucker, who finished second on debut last week over the 400m at Bulli, looks strong for race three.

The newcomer was hampered on her debut but is ideally drawn in box one here as she is “desperate for the fence”, according to Fisher.

Meanwhile, trainer Darren Sultana will be hoping Silent Effective  (pictured) can get back to his best in the night’s eighth race over 472m.

The sprinter, one of the stars of 2014, has not been at his strongest since being injured racing in Victoria in October last year.

He has devastating speed but is a notoriously slow starter and may struggle to overcome No No Notorious (box 1), who ran superbly over the 400m here last week on his return to Bulli.

Manton Mick (race five), Fast And Loud in the sixth and race seven’s Star Torana look good to complete the quaddie.
