Stewards To Commence Thief At Night Inquiry

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of amphetamine, 4-hydroxyamphetamine, ritalinic acid and dexamethasone in the sample taken from Thief At Night after it won a Maiden Stake at the Gunnedah meeting held on 8 November 2014.

Trainer Daniel Galvin has been advised of the irregularity, with the reserve portion of the sample forwarded to another accredited laboratory for further confirmatory analysis. Upon confirmation or otherwise, Mr Galvin will be further advised and an inquiry may be held into the reports.

Due to the nature of the substance involved Mr Galvin’s registration was suspended forthwith.
