Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of ranitidine in the sample taken from Klienzan after it won the Foragers Markets At Bulli Stake on 22 October 2014.
Trainer Peter Lagogiane has been advised of the irregularity, with the reserve portion of the sample forwarded to another accredited laboratory for further confirmatory analysis. Upon confirmation or otherwise the matter will proceed having regard to the protocols established under GRNSW’s penalty guideline system.
