Despite yesterday's Maitland meeting being abandoned due to the air-conditioners in the kennels not operating sufficiently, today’s meeting will proceed as normal at this stage.
The Maitland club organised for air-conditioner technicians to visit the site and review the current air-conditioning units.
While the technicians are yet to determine the reasons for the air-conditioning units being unable to properly service the requirements of the kennels they have recommended that several portable units be installed in the kennels as an interim measure.
As a result, the Maitland club has sourced several temporary units from Sydney which are being installed this morning in preparation for today’s meeting.
