The latest leg of the Thank Dog It’s Friday series at Gosford on Boxing Day is shaping up as an absolute cracker.

After the three previous highly successful meetings in the new series, action moves to the NSW Central  Coast this Friday for the heats of the Group 2 Woy Woy Poultry Cup Stakes.

With $40,000 on offer for the winner, the action on the track promises to be sensational.

This is the latest leg of the Thank Dog It’s Friday series, which aims to showcase the best racing at regional NSW tracks in a primetime Friday night slot.

Three meetings in the series have already been held, with the events at Unibet Gardens, Dapto and Lismore drawing bumper crowds and proving great successes.

VIP tickets are up for grabs as well as the chance to enjoy a wonderful night’s entertainment at the races.

Meanwhile, some top-quality racing action will take place at the meeting.

Some of the best NSW sprinters in NSW will be among the hopefuls in action, with this year’s National Sprint champion Chica Destacada among the strongest contenders.

The queen of Wentworth Park sprinting, Zipping Willow, will also be at Gosford and aiming to add another title to her impressive list of achievements.

Jason Mackay’s gun sprinter is always a big drawcard and with 33 wins from 50 starts she will be hard to stop here.

The 2014 Gosford Cup runner-up Magic Display and three-time Group winner Ritza Hattie will also be among the contenders.

Magic Display warmed up in style with a victory at Gosford last week, while Ritza Hattie has trialled well at the track in preparation for the race.

With recent Group 3 John Stollery Christmas Gift placegetter Jumble, the 2014 Group 1 Dogpro National Futurity winner Rue De Kahn and a host of others also in the mix, it should be a wonderful series.

The final takes place on Friday, January 2.
