Xylia Allen, Australian greyhound racing's highest prizemoney earner of all time, has been retired by her owner Paul Wheeler.

The Group 1 winning sprinter turned Group 1 winning stayer ends her career with 40 wins and 25 placings from 83 starts.

Xylia Allen (pictured) won seven Group races including the 2013 Group 1 National Sprint Championship (525m), the Group 1 Peter Mosman Classic (520m), the Group 1 Brisbane Gold Cup (710m) and the Group 1 Sapphire Crown (515m).

She currently holds the Wentworth Park 720m track record, with a time of 41.53 set in a heat of the Group 1 Association Cup earlier this year.

She earned $743,730 in prizemoney, making her the highest prizemoney earner in Australian greyhound racing. Miata is second on the list with $715,508.

Xylia Allen's last race was at The Meadows on October 25 in which she finished sixth.

According to Australian Greyhound Racing Association Publicity Officer Neil Brown, Xylia Allen will now begin a new life as a mother.

No decision has been made on who Xylia Allen will be mated with but Brown tweeted that it would most likely be an American sire.
