Absalom Found Guilty

By GRNSW

The Greyhound Racing NSW Integrity Department today heard submissions from registered attendant and owner Susan Absalom relative to two charges emanating from an incident at the Richmond meeting on 7 May 2014.

Following an inquiry on 17 June 2014, Ms Absalom was charged via correspondence under Gar 14 (6) with having furnished an incorrect name upon enquiry from an integrity official after the final event at the Richmond meeting. She was further charged under Gar 86 (f) (iii) with engaging in the use of insulting behaviour towards a member of the Controlling Body at around the same time and place.

Ms Absalom pleaded not guilty to both charges. After consideration of further submissions, Ms Absalom was subsequently found guilty of both charges.

The inquiry has been adjourned to allow consideration of any penalty to be imposed or otherwise, and also to allow Ms Absalom to submit written material relative to those considerations.
